Parks & Recreation
Just as good architectural design creates better live/work environments, quality design for parks, recreation, entertainment, performing arts and sports/athletics, along with basic greenways within urban areas is an essential component to enrich quality of life and to become legacies for future generations.
Two projects Perdue completed as City Architect of Savannah are the Forsyth Fort Visitor & Band Shell Complex in historic Forsyth Park, and renovation of another, Daffin Park, designed by noted landscape architect John Nolan circa 1909.
Recreation and community centers are another resource important to bring people of all ages together, especially youth and seniors.
With Savannah, Tom Perdue also designed renovation and expansion of the W.W. Law Regional Center.
